Survivor memoirs offer a unique perspective on the Holocaust by documenting the survivors' experiences in their own words. The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) have partnered together to make survivor memoirs collected by the Claims Conference accessible online.
Through this partnership, many memoirs have been made available via
the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Special Collections Webpage and the Internet Archive.
Each memoir is cataloged, digitized (if not already in digital format), and preserved to ensure that these narratives will be available for future generations for research and educational purposes.
